Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi escalated his attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing him as a "bankrupt gambler" and accusing him of trying to save himself by sacrificing more American lives and money. On the X platform, Araghchi reposted what a senior Israeli military general had revealed about Netanyahu's reaction to the events of October 7, 2023, calling him a "war criminal wanted for justice" with hands stained with the blood of Arabs, Americans and Iranians, and saying he has no regard for his own people in order to escape justice. He also pointed to positions within the United States seeking a way out of a "swamp of catastrophic failures."
