After 6 Years in Court... Sara Netanyahu Loses the Case
The Magistrate's Court in Tel Aviv rejected a lawsuit filed about six years ago by Sara Netanyahu, wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing Silvi Gensia, a former worker at a daycare center, of defamation and invasion of privacy, and ordered her to pay 10,000 Israeli shekels to cover litigation expenses. Judge Ilan Ronen concluded that Gensia benefits from the "truth" and "good faith" defenses, and flatly rejected the claim of privacy violation, in the third ruling in the case after previous rulings were overturned due to the disappearance of Gensia's former lawyer and his failure to submit required legal briefs, according to Yedioth Ahronoth.
