After indirect talks, new US sanctions target Iranian arms supplies
The US Treasury announced on Tuesday new sanctions targeting Iran's arms supply chain, including 10 individuals and companies in Iran, China, Hong Kong, and Pakistan. The move comes after another round of indirect talks between Washington and Tehran on a potential agreement to end the war. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned that the US will continue targeting those providing material, technological, or financial support to Iran.
