Bullets Penetrate UNIFIL Site... Warning of 'War Crime'
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon () announced that one of its positions near Kafr Shuba in southern Lebanon came under small arms fire on Wednesday morning, causing damage to the site's outer wall, buildings and UN vehicles, with no injuries among peacekeepers. UNIFIL opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, warning that any attack on peacekeepers constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and Resolution 1701 and may amount to a war crime.
