Cabinet convenes Thursday… Will transport allowance rise?

Lebanon's Council of Ministers holds a session on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Grand Serail, continuing discussion of the 2027 draft general budget and an expanded agenda topped by the Labor Ministry's request to amend the value of the daily transport allowance set by Decree No. 12966, without the agenda specifying the proposed increase. The agenda also includes a project to establish a floating unit for receiving and regasifying liquefied natural gas in Deir Ammar, the creation of the Supreme Council for Special Economic Zones, in addition to financial, security, administrative and diplomatic files.
