Cognition taps Alex Stamos to head up security efforts

Alex Stamos, one of the most prominent names in cybersecurity, has joined Cognition, maker of the autonomous AI software engineering tool Devin, as its new chief security officer. Stamos told Axios he will help the company defend itself against cyberattacks and also ship new security products, predicting the next three to five years will be the most important in the history of cybersecurity as AI advancements reshape the threat landscape. He most recently oversaw security at AI security startup Corridor and at SentinelOne.
