Convergence with the IMF... Jaber Reveals the Path of Negotiations

Finance Minister Yassin Jaber discussed with the French President's envoy for economic affairs, Jacques Delajugi, the path of financial and banking reforms and cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, during a working visit by the French envoy to the Ministry of Finance dedicated to discussing financial and economic developments in Lebanon. The meeting addressed restructuring the banking sector, addressing the financial gap, and the state of public finances and public debt. Jaber noted that discussions with the Fund are continuing and that there is convergence of views on a number of core files, stressing the importance of continued French support for reform efforts.
