Customs uncover smuggling trick: diesel outside, cigarettes inside (video)

Lebanon's General Directorate of Customs said its Land Anti-Smuggling Division in Beirut seized more than 3,500 cartons of smuggled cigarettes hidden inside a fuel tank specially built as a concealment compartment, loaded on a pickup truck, after surveillance and tracking that extended from the Bekaa to Beirut. It explained that the tank was designed to appear from the outside as intended for transporting fuel and had a rear opening used to insert the cigarettes, noting that the violator was taken to the division's center and the seized items were transferred to complete the investigation under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
