EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas began her tour in Baabda, where President Joseph Aoun called for a strategic partnership with Europe and a force succeeding UNIFIL under the UN flag, stressing the Lebanese Army's commitment to the framework agreement that Israel is failing to implement. These moves come as Europe attempts to consolidate its presence in post-war Lebanon, from the south to the port of Beirut.
