Fake Zoom installer tricks Mac users into bypassing Gatekeeper
Researchers at Jamf Threat Labs discovered malware called CloudSyncD disguised as a Zoom installer for macOS, tricking users into disabling Gatekeeper and entering their admin password to open a backdoor. The malware collects hardware and system information and sends it to a command server, then waits for further instructions, according to the report.
Gatekeeper.
Zoom.
