Georgieva points to "significant progress" in IMF negotiations with Lebanon
IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said Lebanon has made "significant progress" toward reaching a financing program with the international institution, amid intensive discussions with Lebanese authorities. She spoke at a press conference in Bangkok on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank annual meetings, as Lebanon seeks to address the effects of its years-long economic and banking crisis.
