Ghana's CSA Boss: Cybersecurity must become a national priority
The Director-General of Ghana's Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Divine Selase Agbeti, called for closer collaboration among financial institutions, telecommunications companies, fintechs, regulators and law enforcement to protect the country's growing digital economy, stressing that cybersecurity is no longer merely an IT issue but an economic and national security concern. Speaking at the launch of the 2026 National Cyber Security Awareness Month under the theme of securing Ghana's digital finance ecosystem, he warned about the use of artificial intelligence in fraud and impersonation schemes, and said losing confidence in digital platforms can be more damaging than the financial losses themselves.
