Gunfire targets a UNIFIL site in southern Lebanon
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon () announced that one of its sites near Kfarshouba on the Blue Line in the eastern sector came under small-arms fire on Wednesday morning, with no injuries. Bullets hit the site's outer wall and some residential units and UN vehicles inside the base. UNIFIL condemned the attack as unacceptable and opened an investigation. The incident comes before UNIFIL's mandate ends on December 31, 2026, amid Israel's continued occupation of wide areas in southern Lebanon.
