Hani calls for a clear roadmap defining agricultural priorities
Lebanese Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani discussed with table grape farmers and exporters at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Zahle and the Bekaa the challenges of marketing the 2026 season crop and ways to open new export markets. The meeting addressed rising production, market diversification, the sanitary quarantine protocol with India, and a field-to-port control system starting in April 2027, as well as the agricultural registry, sectoral committees, and drawing up a roadmap defining priorities.
