The Israeli government-formation map has taken a new path after figures in the United Torah Judaism party began proposing a formula based on supporting a minority government led by Gadi Eisenkot from outside the coalition. According to a report by Israel's Channel 12, Netanyahu's camp has 46 seats compared with 48 for Eisenkot's camp, with United Torah Judaism remaining outside the government and abstaining from voting against it or its legislation. The conscription file and religious education budgets are the main obstacles to any understandings, and it remains unclear whether the proposal has been formally conveyed to Eisenkot.
