Hasbani: Past theorizing on electricity remained plans on paper

MP and former Deputy Prime Minister Ghassan Hasbani wrote on X that practical electricity solutions rest on three levels: Qatari investment in production and gas and the regulatory authority’s work on production and distribution licenses; a forensic audit of the electricity ships and reports to the National Anti-Corruption Commission; and pressure on the public sector to pay its bills, including cutting power to institutions and camps that do not pay. He described this as a practical approach different from past theorizing that remained plans on paper and ships that burn depositors’ money.
