Houthi shelling on Taiz... warnings of a humanitarian catastrophe

Military escalation is widening in Yemen's Taiz governorate as clashes and artillery shelling intensify in the Sabr district, with military sites and residential villages being targeted from both sides. The Taiz branch of the Yemeni Bar Association warned of a worsening humanitarian situation, citing deaths and injuries including women, the displacement of thousands of families and the closure of the Hija al-Abd road, and called on the Security Council, the United Nations and the Arab League to act to stop the attacks, protect civilians and hold independent investigations.
