Houthis Open a Digital Front... Fabricated Clips Confuse Taiz

Yemen's Minister of Information, Moammar al-Eryani, warned of a parallel front run through rumors, misleading clips and impersonated accounts alongside the military escalation in Taiz governorate, accusing the Houthi group of using digital tools and artificial intelligence techniques to create a false impression that positions have fallen or fronts have collapsed. He explained that the propaganda relies on impersonating the names of political and military figures and republishing old clips as if they document current developments, and called for not sharing any field content before verifying its source, date, filming location and context, and for relying on official statements, military media centers and professional outlets.
