How AI is changing the cybersecurity battlefield
On the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly, Hayete Gallot, Microsoft's Executive Vice President of Security, discussed how AI is transforming cybersecurity. She said AI is "completely changing the physics of cyber," noting that AI agents can operate around the clock at enormous scale. This requires evolved defenses, AI-versus-AI approaches, and human oversight, along with security fundamentals such as identity systems, software security, and network isolation.
