How Can We Get Better Internet in Lebanon?

The article discusses the concept of internet governance based on the multistakeholder principle and the role of the Lebanese Internet Governance Forum as an independent non-profit national platform. Zeina Bou Harb, chair of the Multistakeholder Advisory Committee, reviews the global Internet Governance Forum's establishment in Athens in 2006 and its becoming a permanent UN forum in 2025. It also highlights the Lebanese forum scheduled for October 5–7, 2026, under the slogan 'Lebanon Digitally Recovering: Resilience, Trust, and Sustainable Innovation,' to discuss digital access, AI governance, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, data protection, misinformation, and digital rights.
