Internal Security Forces warns against fraudulent messages impersonating it

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces renewed its warning to citizens about fraudulent text messages impersonating it, claiming speed violations had been recorded and demanding payment of fines within a set deadline in exchange for a purported discount, with links aimed at stealing banking data and verification codes. It stressed that these messages do not come from it, that traffic violation notices are sent through Liban Post and OMT, and that there is currently no online method to pay fines, urging people not to click links, share data, and to report the messages.
