Iran Links Reopening of Strait of Hormuz to US Plan
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said from the United Nations that Iran will reopen the within seven days if the United States agrees to a proposed plan, noting that the decision is now in Washington's hands. The proposal is based on a memorandum of understanding previously agreed upon through mediation in June, according to an Al Jazeera report published on September 25, 2026, amid the US-Israeli war on Iran.
