Iranian media: Araghchi meets Qatari mediators in New York
Iran's official IRNA news agency reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will meet Qatari mediators on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York, in talks expected to address the latest developments regarding the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States. Araghchi said he and President Masoud Pezeshkian did not come to New York to promote war but to build peace, while stressing that Iran remains steadfast against any aggression and is ready for real diplomacy. US President Donald Trump had rejected an Iranian proposal to reopen the , calling it unacceptable.
