Is the White House nearing a decision on attacking Iran?

A political official told Israel Hayom that the White House is nearing a decision on whether to launch an attack on Iran, due to accelerating progress on the nuclear bomb file and the rebuilding of its missile system. The official said preparations for such an attack are complete, including full coordination between the United States and its regional partners, foremost Israel, but hesitation persists because of attempts to resume talks with Iran toward a diplomatic solution. The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. President Donald Trump discussed possible scenarios with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and briefed him on attempts by Qatar, Pakistan and Turkey to prevent a resumption of war through intermittent negotiations. It said Washington is not prepared for any prior step without Iran fulfilling its obligations on the Strait of Hormuz and the nuclear file, while a Gulf diplomatic source said their states are ready to bear a certain cost but require an achievable goal and the absolute removal of the military threat.
