Israel assassinates Popular Resistance Committees official in Khan Younis

Israeli army spokesperson Ella Waweya announced on the X platform that the Israeli army and the General Security Service (Shin Bet) carried out an air strike in the Khan Younis area in the southern Gaza Strip, killing Ramadan Diab Abu Shuhada, who she said headed the Popular Resistance Committees in Khan Younis. The Israeli statement claimed that Abu Shuhada worked during the war to advance operations against Israeli forces and Israelis and to rebuild Hamas's capabilities, described his targeting as removing an immediate threat, accused him of a "systematic violation of the ceasefire," and affirmed that its forces would continue to act against what it describes as any immediate threat.
