Israeli army shells southern Lebanon towns and continues demolishing houses

On Monday, the Israeli army carried out an air raid and artillery shelling on towns in southern Lebanon, including Hadatha and Aita al-Jabal in the Bint Jbeil district and Mansouri in the Tyre district, in addition to firing 5 shells at the Marjayoun plain. It also continued demolishing houses and infrastructure in Zawtar al-Sharqiya in the Nabatieh district, with no casualty figures reported. This comes despite the framework agreement reached by Beirut and Tel Aviv last June, and after technical military meetings in Tampa, Florida, on October 20-21 that ended without a tangible breakthrough, amid continuing disagreements over the Israeli withdrawal and the disarmament of Hezbollah. More than 50 Lebanese towns remain under Israeli occupation, while military operations since March 2 have killed at least 4,386 people, injured 12,407 others, and displaced more than one million people.
