Israeli forces continue their attacks on southern Lebanon

Israeli forces on Wednesday continued their attacks on a number of towns and areas in southern Lebanon, targeting them with air strikes, artillery shelling and machine gun fire. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli forces targeted the towns of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun in the western sector and fired machine guns toward the town of Beit al-Sayyad, while the outskirts of Haddatha and Baraachit were shelled with artillery, coinciding with an attack on the Araish area between the towns of Haris and Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district. Intermittent artillery fire was also reported near the town of Shaqra and Wadi al-Salouqi. This comes amid continued obstacles to implementing the framework agreement signed by Lebanon and Israel last June under U.S. sponsorship.
