Israeli official: Possible attack on Iran after US midterm elections

Israel's public broadcaster quoted a senior Israeli official as saying that an attack on Iran could take place after the US midterm congressional elections. The official indicated that the Iranians are not prepared to make concessions on the nuclear file, which he described as the core of the dispute, adding that any attack on Iran would not topple the regime but would weaken it, and stressing that Israel will not attack Iran on its own.
