Kuwaiti actor Kazem Al-Zamel dies at 79

Kuwaiti actor Kazem Al-Zamel died on Thursday, November 5, at the age of 79, after years away from the spotlight due to illness and loss of sight. Al-Zamel was among the prominent figures in the Kuwaiti arts scene; he began his career in the mid-1970s and worked in acting, directing, writing and television presenting. He took part in several theatrical productions and founded a company for producing children's theatre. He retired from acting in 2001 and ended his artistic activity in 2005.
