Lebanon divided over seized Hezbollah explosives
Lebanese security forces stopped a van at Dahr al-Baidar and found hundreds of kilograms of explosives, in an incident that exposed divisions between Hezbollah and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam's government over the shipment and the control of non-state weapons.

- قال النائب حسن فضل الله إن المركبة وحمولتها تعودان إلى حزب الله، وطالب بإعادتهما والإفراج عن موقوفين، وقال إن المتفجرات كانت مخصصة للاستخدام ضد القوات الإسرائيلية.
- أعرب خصوم حزب الله عن قلقهم من احتمال استخدام المتفجرات ضد منتقدي الجماعة، بينما أشار رئيس الوزراء نواف سلام إلى أن مادة سي-4 استُخدمت في اغتيالات سابقة.
- أكد سلام توسيع التحقيقات والتعامل بحزم مع الأسلحة الخارجة عن الإطار القانوني، وسط خلافات بين الحكومة وحزب الله حول المقاومة المسلحة واتفاق الإطار.
- أشار محللون إلى مخاوف بشأن فاعلية التحقيقات بسبب تعدد الأجهزة الأمنية، وقال العميد المتقاعد مارسيل بالوقجي إن الحكومة تواجه استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وعمليات الهدم في الجنوب.
