Lebanon's Finance and Health Ministers discuss healthcare funding

Finance Minister Yassine Jaber met with Public Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nassereddine and Parliamentary Health Committee Chairman MP Bilal Abdallah to discuss the healthcare sector's financial needs and ways to accelerate funding to ensure uninterrupted medical services. The meeting addressed outstanding payments to hospitals and primary healthcare centers, particularly public hospitals, expediting disbursements, funding essential medicines, emergency healthcare preparedness in the event of escalation along the border with Israel, and the proposed universal healthcare coverage law under consideration by Parliament's joint committees.
