LeBron James Faces Transfer Noise in First Appearance with Philadelphia

LeBron James began his new journey with the Philadelphia 76ers with a promising individual performance, but his team lost 114-108 to the Brooklyn Nets in a preseason game. The 41-year-old scored 10 points, added four rebounds, five assists and one steal in 18 minutes in the first half, before the Nets flipped the game in the third quarter with a 37-23 run; Jalen Brown topped Philadelphia's scorers with 18 points. James is preparing for his 24th NBA season, a new record, hoping to lead the 76ers to a title absent for more than four decades. He also denied reports claiming he reprimanded teammate Joel Embiid for being late to practice, stressing that Embiid was not late at all.
