Military talks without politicians: Lebanon insists on halting Israeli violations

Talks between Lebanon and Israel are moving to the US state of Florida in a round limited to the military level, aimed at de-escalating and setting an executive mechanism for the framework agreement. A security source told Asharq that the Lebanese delegation will raise the file of ongoing Israeli attacks and violations, a halt to land-leveling operations and a verification mechanism for implementing the understandings, in addition to allowing farmers to reach their land and harvest their crops. Pending files also include the prisoners issue and border demarcation, amid divergent positions on commitment to the agreement.
