New checklist helps CPAs manage AI cyber risks
A Journal of Accountancy report covered a baseline security checklist developed by Sanjay Chadha, founding partner at SAV Associates, to help CPAs and CFOs assess their organizations' readiness against risks arising from artificial intelligence. The checklist combines elements from multiple frameworks and standards and evaluates 12 baseline areas for up to 75 points, with particular focus on AI governance, data classification, controlling the use of generative and agentic AI tools, limiting their access to sensitive data, and subjecting new tools to change management.
