NYT: Iran reviewing mediators' proposals on its nuclear program

The New York Times reported that Iran is reviewing a set of proposals presented by mediators regarding the future of its nuclear program, a step that could mark progress in diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war with the United States and avoiding a renewed military confrontation between the two countries. The newspaper quoted five officials briefed on the negotiations, including one US official and two Iranian officials, as saying that Tehran has shown readiness to resume nuclear talks after weeks of refusing to offer any concessions, noting that the officials described the terms on the table as "concrete proposals" without disclosing their details. It added that US Vice President JD Vance has emerged as one of the most prominent supporters of Qatari efforts to avoid military escalation.
