Qatar's Foreign Minister: Netanyahu is a war criminal
Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani affirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a "war criminal" and that what is being committed in Gaza constitutes war crimes, stressing that Qatar will continue to uphold diplomacy and play a mediation role for peace. In an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, he said Netanyahu is attacking Qatar to manipulate public opinion and mislead it with false facts, and he renewed Qatar's condemnation of the Israeli attack that targeted Doha while it was pushing forward the Trump proposal, describing an attack on mediators as a dangerous precedent. He noted that Qatar repeatedly warned of the war's consequences, whose impact has gone beyond the region to the global economy, and that mediation efforts coordinated with the US administration to reach an agreement with Iran did not succeed, pointing to three key files: the nuclear agreement and lifting sanctions, freedom of navigation in the , and reforming regional security arrangements.
