Regulatory complexity hinders 92% of organizations in facing cyber threats
A Cisco survey of 8,000 cybersecurity professionals across 30 markets found that only 8% of organizations are in the top tier for defending against AI-era threats. It attributes this to regulatory complexity, delays and overlapping authority, with only 21% able to activate a new security control within six months. 40% of security teams spend time reconciling data from disparate systems. Cisco recommends distributing decision rights, unifying data sources, stress-testing response plans, limited automation, and simplifying security procedures.
