Report: Iran plans to disrupt US and Israeli elections
The British Telegraph newspaper quoted Iranian officials as saying that Tehran is discussing targeting election operations in the United States and Israel by recruiting agents and cyber intrusion attempts to deepen divisions in both countries. One official said Iran has established cyber groups to hack election systems, while another described readiness to disrupt their elections, banking systems and travel. The report considered that the stalled formation of the Israeli government may give Tehran an opportunity to rebuild its military capabilities.
