"Right or Palestine"... Netanyahu recycles his old election weapon
A report by journalist Ofer Haddad in Israel's N12 magazine, within the "What's the Message?" project carried out with the company "Scooper", said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reusing an election formula similar to the 1996 campaign that raised the slogan "Peres will divide Jerusalem", but with a new slogan: "Either the right or Palestine". The report said Transport Minister Miri Regev first used the phrase, before Netanyahu adopted it in late September as the central message of his campaign, alongside a coordinated wave of Knesset members' posts in early October, amid the fallout of the October 7 massacre, a cost-of-living crisis and his alliance with Haredi parties.
