Ronaldo announces retirement from international football at 41

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo announced on his Instagram account his retirement from international football at the age of 41, weeks after a crisis in which he left the national team camp following a dispute with coach Jorge Jesus over not being fielded in a UEFA Nations League match. In a video, Ronaldo said his journey with the national team was coming to an end today. The Al-Nassr Saudi forward, who began his international career in 2003, played 234 matches for Portugal and scored 146 goals.
