Scholarships for Christian Families... A Papal Decision That Affects Lebanon
Pope Leo XIV announced the allocation of scholarships for Christian students from the neediest families in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, to cover annual school and university fees. The announcement came during his reception of members of the Synod of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Antioch, where he stressed that the goal is to support young people and help Christian families remain in the Middle East and preserve the Christian presence there, with the scholarships to be secured through the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches.
