Serious Israeli Warning Reaches Lebanon... and Hezbollah Gives Its Word

Lebanese authorities are dealing seriously with warning messages received directly and through intermediaries about a broad Israeli scenario if war renews between the United States and Iran and Hezbollah decides to enter it in support of Tehran. The messages warned that Israel could expand the security zone it controls to include Nabatieh, Sidon and Tyre, alongside targeting the southern suburbs and some neighborhoods in Beirut. President Joseph Aoun moved after a warning from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and conveyed the message to Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, while Hezbollah conveyed through intermediaries that it will not intervene in support of Iran if war resumes.
