al-Fawqa was subjected to intermittent artillery shelling from Israeli army positions, after earlier shelling targeted the area between the towns of Haddatha and Haris and the outskirts of Mays al-Jabal, and the area between Shaqra and Mays al-Jabal. The Israeli army also conducted a sweep with heavy machine guns covering the outskirts of Haddatha toward Rashaf.
