Space becomes a new front... an arms race threatening satellites

Concerns are growing that international conflicts could extend into space, with warnings of a possible space confrontation within the next five years, as states and specialized companies begin developing defensive and offensive capabilities to protect satellites. According to a Telegraph report, Britain's Ministry of Defence has enlisted satellite companies to conduct patrols in Earth orbit, while the US Space Force last month acknowledged deploying a weapon in space for the first time, amid sightings of Chinese satellite maneuvers and fears that Russia may possess a vehicle with nuclear components.
