Syria.. Israel bombs Quneitra countryside simultaneously with resuming excavation project
The Israeli army shelled agricultural land in the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria with artillery on Sunday, coinciding with the resumption of excavation work in the 'Sufa 53' project near the with the occupied Golan. Israeli expansions have destroyed thousands of dunums of farmland, amid Syrian demands for an Israeli withdrawal from the buffer zone.

- قصف الجيش الإسرائيلي بالمدفعية أراضي زراعية في ريف القنيطرة الجنوبي، بين وبلدة كودنة.
- تزامن القصف مع استئناف إسرائيل أعمال الحفر بمحاذاة خط الفصل مع الجولان المحتل، ضمن مشروع 'سوفا 53'.
- المشروع أدى إلى تجريف آلاف الدونمات من الأراضي الزراعية وتضرر المياه والبنية الطبيعية في المنطقة.
- منذ سقوط نظام بشار الأسد في ديسمبر 2024، وسعت إسرائيل عملياتها العسكرية في سوريا وتقدمت إلى المنطقة العازلة.
- سوريا تطالب بانسحاب القوات الإسرائيلية وتتمسك باتفاق فض الاشتباك لعام 1974.
