Information from "Spot Shot" on Lebanon Debate indicated that the name of Syrian Brigadier General Abdul Rahman al-Dabbagh, head of Syrian foreign intelligence, has come to the fore amid a rise in the kidnapping of Syrian opponents from Lebanon and escalating campaigns against some Lebanese security agencies. The information noted that al-Dabbagh's name was previously linked to operations searching for Syrian opponents in the streets of Beirut, and that he had previously visited the Lebanese capital for the same purpose.
