The $200 Million Battle… Washington Denies Hezbollah!
The US State Department denied a Reuters report that Hezbollah received $200 million from Iran, saying Hezbollah is promoting false narratives through anonymous sources. Reuters quoted two sources as saying the money arrived last September to help displaced people, with $3,000 distributed per family and a 20% commission for intermediaries. A Hezbollah official confirmed that a sum of money was secured without specifying its value or source, while Iran and the Lebanese government did not comment.
