"There was no specific warning"... Netanyahu settles the "Flydubai" controversy

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed in a CNN interview that there was no specific security warning regarding a scenario of hijacking the Flydubai plane, while a senior Israeli security official said there was not even a "shred of information" about an intention to hijack or down a passenger plane. This comes amid a dispute between Netanyahu and opposition leader Yair Lapid over the security warnings presented to the latter before the incident.

قال مسؤول أمني إسرائيلي كبير إن إسرائيل لم تملك أي معلومة مسبقة عن نية لخطف طائرة ركاب أو إسقاطها.
يائير لابيد أكد أن الإحاطة الأمنية التي تلقاها قبل الحادثة لم تتضمن أي ذكر لسيناريو خطف طائرة، واتهم مكتب نتنياهو بمحاولة الربط بأثر رجعي.
التحقيق في الحادث لا يزال جاريًا لتحديد ما إذا كان الطيار المشتبه به تحرك منفردًا أم بوجود جهة أخرى، ولم تثبت حتى الآن صلة مباشرة لإيران.
