US Central Command affirmed that Iran deliberately targeted civilians and infrastructure in Gulf states, as well as civilian sailors in nearby waters, resulting in the killing of more than 20 of them in recent months. It described Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s claims that Tehran did not target civilians in neighboring countries as incorrect, stressing that Iran’s indiscriminate aggression cannot be justified.
