US pressure on Israel to fix the date with Lebanon

Sources familiar with the Lebanese-Israeli negotiations said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is pressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold a Lebanese-Israeli military meeting under US auspices in Florida between October 20 and 22. President Joseph Aoun told Rubio that Lebanon is ready to participate with a military delegation headed by Brigadier General George Rizkallah, stressing the need to consolidate the ceasefire, release prisoners, and stop the demolition of towns. The sources added that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's call with Aoun brought nothing new, and that the visit of Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh to Beirut was limited to Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah's leadership.
